About Me

Hi, my name is Tyler, and Road Bike Basics is a site where I get to answer questions and cover content surrounding road cycling. As I get more into riding, I come across my own questions and the questions that other riders have. I love doing the research to get useful answers, and posting here to help everyone who needs it. I love riding, and I want to do what I can to help you love it too. That was how my mission was born.

My Mission: To Empower My Readers To Enjoy Riding Their Bikes More

That means I want to serve you so well that you can ride more often and enjoy it more than ever.

In fact, if you are having a hard time finding the answer to your cycling questions? I made a form that you can fill out to were you can tell me exactly what you need to make your cycling experience more enjoyable. I’ll research the topic and write the article if enough people are having the same problem. I can even email you to let you know when I do!

You can click here to open the form.

My Stuff

That is my Trek 1.2 that I love to ride for hours at a time, but I definitely want to ride more often. I probably don’t pump up the tires or clean the frame enough, but it has done me very well. I’m excited to rack up some more miles on it in the coming years. Here is a link to the My Gear page. It’ll show you what I have in a bit more detail.

Road Bike Basics is a member of the Amazon Affiliate program. So, I earn a commission on qualifying purchases. When someone clicks on one of my links to Amazon (like this one), Amazon puts a 24 hour cookie on their web browser to prove that I sent them. If they make a purchase while they still have that cookie, I receive a small percentage (about 4%) of the order price. The cookie is then cleared from their computer.
